Description:

Attend this introductory play therapy session to experience innovative ways to reach children. With play therapy, children are able to be themselves. The therapist puts away notetaking and focuses entirely on the child. There are no demands and the child is free express him or herself.

Objectives:

Identify the therapeutic powers of play and how they work to bring about healing
Demonstrate they principles of child-centered play therapy
Describe and practice at least three direct play therapy strategies
